We comply with data protection legislation and the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679 EU) in the processing of personal data and in our operations. We pay particular attention to confidentiality and data security.
Everyone has the right to the protection of their personal data. Data protection is a fundamental right that safeguards the realisation of individuals’ rights and freedoms in the processing of personal data. The purpose of data protection is to define when and under what conditions personal data may be processed.
We only collect personal data that is necessary for carrying out our activities. The collection of data is based on the person’s consent or on another legal basis provided by law.
We process personal data for the implementation of our various activities.
We have prepared separate privacy notices for different areas of activity. You will find the privacy notices concerning our general activities on this page after the text. In the privacy notices, we explain in more detail, for example, what personal data we collect, the legal basis for the collection of data, and how long we retain personal data.
How we protect personal data
We use appropriate organisational and technical measures to ensure the security of personal data processing.
Access to personal data is restricted to those employees of the association who need the data to perform their work tasks. We also provide our staff with regular training on data protection and information security.
Exercising the rights of the data subject
The term “data subject” refers to the individual whose personal data is being processed.
The data subject has the right to access their own personal data and to request the rectification or erasure of inaccurate data, provided there are legal grounds for such action. In addition, the data subject has the right to withdraw or amend their consent.
Under the GDPR, the data subject also has the right to object to or request the restriction of processing, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority.
You can contact the person specified in the relevant privacy notice if you would like more information about the processing of personal data, or if you would like to exercise your rights, such as requesting the rectification or erasure of your data.
